Q + A

What's the latest?

MARISA: The comedy feature Love at First Spite (in which I'm one of the leads) us now available for streaming!

What are your favorite characters to play?

I like a messy, sarcastic character. They have the best secrets. I give good "meet cute" and have been playing the "flirt" since children's theater, but I like a shade of darkness.

What would some dream jobs be?

I've been dreaming of working on a fantasy set, telling a compelling story while being immersed in a colorful, intense, star-struck world.

Someday I will pay homage to my South Dakota roots and play a cowgirl and ride a horse into the sunset.

I've always been interested in the future of media and new ways of storytelling (VR? Immersive choose-your-own?)

Thoughts for 2026?

This brain is always coming up with a new idea, and since moving to Mexico, those ideas are coming in bilingually. ¡Órale!

With Gratitude

I want to express gratitude for the instructors I've learned from this past year - Michael D. Cohen, Kim Kalish, Irene White, Killian McHugh and for all the workshops where I’ve danced in heels, thrown knives, ridden horses, and cracked whips. You've all made an impact in deepening my craft and sustaining my passion.

To my writing community, makeup artists, costume designers, producers, editors, and art department team—you are my people. Hope to see you on a call sheet soon.

Thank you to my agents, casting directors, and their teams for the opportunities I dare to dream about.

Living in Los Angeles and the recent fight to work in this industry wouldn't be sustainable without the creative, hard-working people who make it all possible. I’m grateful to share this universe with you.

XO,

Marisa
